Robert "Bob" David Edwards' Obituary
Edmore- Robert "Bob" David Edwards, age 89, passed away at his home in Stanton, on January 9, 2021. He was born at home in Stanton on February 2, 1931, the son of Kenneth and Olive (Johnston) Edwards. Bob was raised in the Stanton area where he attended the Stanton High School graduating with the class of 1949. He was employed with the Montcalm County Road Commission where he worked as a mechanic for 43 years before retiring in 1983. Bob married Laura Belle Bloss on July 2, 1952 in Angola, Indiana. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, spending time with the family and his farm.
Bob enlisted in the Army in 1952 where he served honorable as a Corporal in the Armed Division until 1954.
Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Laura Edwards; children, Annette (Tim) Fountain of Sheridan, Michael W. (Jean Neitzel) Edwards of Stanton, Rodney Edwards of Stanton, Craig (Kathy Chapin) Edwards of Sheridan; grandchildren, Robert James, Sara, Jason, Jessica, Aronica, Nicole, Jared, Johnny, Bryan; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Donna) Edwards, Bill Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Olive Edwards; mom, Edith (Teed) Edwards, who raised him from age 5; grandson, Aaron Michael Edwards; great-grandson, Levi Ryan Fountain; brother, Duane Edwards.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
