Robert "Bob" Lynwood Kruger's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Lynwood Kruger, age 88, of Lakeview passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Mission Point in Greenville. He was born on October 4, 1934, to Earl and Lucille (Stine) Kruger, in Lakeview where he was also raised. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Jensen on December 9, 1951, at the Congregational Church in Lakeview. He was employed by Ore Ida in Greenville, Lee's Trenching in Grand Rapids, and various potato farmers in the Lakeview area. Bob was a kind man with a big smile who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, watching the Detroit Tigers and attending the Stine family reunions. In his younger years he played baseball for the Lakeview Independents and umpired many little league games with Ernie Stine. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Bob is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Beau) Brainard of Ludington, Denise Lutterloh of Lakeview; grandchildren, John Jensen, Paul Langdon, Luke Brainard, Jennifer Smith, Scott (Angie) Lutterloh, Allen (Dani) Lutterloh, Amy Jo Woodard; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Millie Kruger of Colorado, Karen (Hartley) Byers of Florida, Gayla Schachtele of Florida, Judy Kruger of Lakeview; brothers, Delbert "Del" (Sally) Cory of Canadian Lakes, Bill Kruger of Montana; special nephew, Ron Urban; special niece, Bonnie (Don) Koolen; special uncle, Jack Stine; lifelong friends, Clarence and Mary Yanke, Bill and Betty Culey; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 65 years, Charlotte Kruger; his parents, Earl (Margaret) Kruger and Lucille (Hugh) Cory; son-in-law, Don Lutterloh; brother, Richard "Dick" Kruger; and special uncle, Carl Stine. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
