Robert "Butch" James Zayler's Obituary
Edmore - Robert "Butch" James Zayler, age 82, formerly of Stanton passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Country Friends Assisted Living in Sumner. He was born to Julues "Jack" and Irene (Raab) Zayler in Tustin, Michigan on December 22, 1938. He was raised in Reed City and Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1957 and continued his education by attending trade school in Chicago to become a certified electrician. Robert was employed by several companies including Chrysler, and then by Federal Mogul in Greenville for 26 years before retiring in 2008. Robert married the love of his life, Wanda Daniel on September 3, 1960, in Edmore Michigan. He enjoyed wood working, building houses, refinishing antiques, building, and restoring clocks, reading about history, Sudoku, brain teaser puzzles, selling his crafts at flea markets and craft shows.
Robert is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Wanda of Stanton; children, Deborah Brune of St. Louis, Doug Zayler of Belding; brother, Roger "Bud" (Carol) Zayler of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Irene; brother, Harold Zayler; in-laws, Lester and Anna Daniel.
Funeral Services for Robert will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11:00 A. M. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, Michigan with Pastor Mark Edwards officiating. The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 P. M. at the funeral chapel. Following the service the interment will take place at McBride Cemetery in McBride, Michigan. Contributions may be made to Wanda Zayler for the care of children with mental disabilities.
