Robert "Duke" Loren Gale's Obituary
Mr. Robert "Duke" Loren Gale, son of the late Alice Skeels and Robert K. Gale, was born October 2, 1936 in Greenville, MI. Duke attended and graduated from Lakeview Community Schools and later on acquired a journeyman's card from Montcalm Community College while working for Wolverine World Wide. He worked there for 30 years as a millwright. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He was united in holy matrimony to Beatrice Gale in November of 1978.
Duke was preceded in death by his daughter Cherrie Gale; his grandson, Derek Gale; his step-son, Gordon Paulsen; father, Robert K. Gale; and mother, Alice Skeels.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Beatrice Gale; his children, Cindy and Jerry Saffell, Renee and Jim Fliearman, Deb and John Hallock, Laurie Smitts; his brothers, sister, brother in laws and sister in laws; his "adopted kids" Shelbi and Raymond; 7 grandchildren and many other great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his two beloved dogs Penny and Diamond.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 8890 Tamarack Rd, Lakeview, MI, at 1:00PM. The family will greet friends at the church Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM
