Robert Lee "Frosty" Frost's Obituary
Rodney - Robert Lee "Frosty" Frost, 54, of Rodney, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, January 3, 2019, in Kent County.
He was born December 26, 1964, in Grand Rapids, the son of George and Doris Frost, and grew up in Cedar Springs. On May 1, 1982, he married Barbara Housler, and they moved to Big Rapids in 1999, where he had lived since.
Frosty was a commercial truck driver with Big Rapids Towing and Dunkel trucking off and on for the last 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and loved to bowl and golf as well. Frosty was always willing to lend a hand, and never met a person he didn't like.
Surviving are his wife Barb; their 4 children, Tamara (Nick) Wade of Paris, David of Eglin AFB, FL, Aimee (Tim) Kelsh of Big Rapids, and Benjamin of Grand Rapids, 8 grandchildren, Adriana, Nathan, Davin, Alexis, Aleigha, Hadley, Carson, Brynlee; 3 brothers, George of El Paso, TX, Leroy of Trufant, and Archie of Battle Creek; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted family.. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pete Alley officiating. Bob's family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., and from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. Casual attire requested by family.
