Robert L. Hollenbeck's Obituary
Grand Rapids - Robert L. Hollenbeck, age 86 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Big Rapids, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday December 10, 2011. He was born April 14, 1925 in Grant Township, the son of Jess R. and Dora (Parker) Hollenbeck. He attended Big Rapids Schools then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the infantry at the end of WWII. Robert was a member of All American Cities Baptist Church in Grand Rapids. He enjoyed fishing and cooking at hunting camp. Robert is survived by four sons, Robert II (Marcia) Hollenbeck of Walker, Jess (Janice) Hollenbeck of Walker, Ray Allen Hollenbeck of Alaska, Earl Hollenbeck of Walker, eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Adeline Blades of Comstock, one sister-in-law, Evelyn Hollenbeck of Three Rivers and one son-in-law, Greg Kurylowicz. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dora Frances Kurylowicz and eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Chaplain Rick Kiekintveld officiating. Robert's family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 noon on Thursday, prior to services. Interment will be at Grant Center Cemetery.
