Robert L. Kinder's Obituary
Robert Layton Kinder (Bub), age 51, of Lakeview, MI, passed away at his home on saturday June 27th 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Rob was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 5, 1974, to parents Robert Earl Kinder and Janet Darlene Kinder. He was raised in Deborn Heights, MI, and Williamsburg, KY. Rob married the love of his life, Cynthia (Burguess) Kinder, on March 22, 2014. Rob had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and landscaping every year, turning his property into a work of art. He also enjoyed working with his hands in skilled carpentry work and learning new trades to improve his life. He loved to spend time with his family and always looked forward to gatherings with them. Rob loved Jesus Christ and was an active member of the Sonshine Worship Center in Lakeview. Rob will be remembered for his faith in God, as an amazing father, and as Uncle Bub to many.
His family will dearly miss Rob. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kinder, of Lakeview, MI. (8) Children; Alexis (Kinder) Douglas (John Douglas) of Williamsburg, KY, Skie (Kinder) Davidson (Scott Davidson) of Lakeview, MI, Robert Michael Kinder of Lakeview MI, Xander Dennis of Nicholasville, KY, Miranda Sampson of Lexington, KY, BillyJoe Bryington (Emily) of Danville, KY, Sarina, and Amanda Benak of Michigan; His Father Robert E Kinder (8) grandchildren; Layton, Olivia, Colton, Keelie, Emory, Braelynn, Jade and McKenna; Siblings; Cathy Vaughn (Allen Lawson) of Six Lakes, MI and Tracey Stephenson (Todd) of Vesterburg, MI. (8) Nieces and nephews, (8) great-nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Janet D. Kinder; great-nephews Jaxon Arens and Christopher Kinder; and grandparents, Steely Layton Kinder, Hazel Fox Kinder, James Finley, and Hazel W. Finley.
