Robert McCall's Obituary
Robert McCall, age 87 of Remus, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
Robert was born May 19, 1930, the son of George and Bethel (Phoenix) McCall. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, and cooking; and he was known to be a sauerkraut and Rhubarb pie specialist. Robert’s favorite times were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a whole lot of personality, and was sometimes considered complicated. You never had to guess where you stood with Robert because he had no problem letting you know. Although he enjoyed giving people a hard time, Robert was always loyal and willing to do whatever he could to help those closest to him.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Gloria (Dean) Varty; sons, Bob (Janet) McCall and Al (Maureen) McCall; grandchildren, Leslie (Ellen) VanAlstine II, Shannon McCall, Matt (Jennifer) McCall, Derrick (Dreidre) McCall, Ann (Joe) Evanoff, and David (Mandy) McCall, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ezra McCall, Derb McCall, Jay McCall, Lillian Simon, and Leila Simon, and grandson, Brandon.
