Robert Kenneth Milburn Jr.'s Obituary
Edmore-Robert Kenneth Milburn Jr., age 76, of Carson City passed away at his home on Monday, July 27, 2020. Robert was born in Bastrop, TX on October 11, 1943, the son of Robert Sr. and Lois (Calkins) Milburn. He was raised in the Wayland area where he attended Wayland Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1961. Robert served his country honorably in the United States Air Force in Germany and Turkey from 1961-1965. He was employed as a salesman in various industries, throughout his working years. Robert married Barbara Meta Mossner in October of 1966. He enjoyed playing video games, reading, watching old movies, music and exploring. He loved spending time with his family and his cat Princess.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Milburn of Clinton, IA and Rilla (Duane) Austin of Fenwick; grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan, Michael, Kurt, Benjamin, Kaitlyn; 8 great-grandchildren; his companion, Rosemary Randolph; and his brother, Don (Lyda) Milburn of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Robert Sr. and Lois; and his brother, Stuart A. Milburn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Open Door Fellowship, 121 S. William St. Carson City, with Pastor Larry Austin officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
