I met Bob in 1969 at Fort Knox. We spent the next 8 weeks together in Basic Training. We hung around together with Richard Herrington. We were called the 3 musketeers. When we left Basic Training and went to our next assignment I didn’t think that I would ever see him again. I purchased Little Engines in May 1983. The first week I was running the business this guy walks in to buy some parts and I looked at him and asked if he was in the Army in 1969 at Ft. Knox. He said yes, then he looked at me and remembered me. It was a pleasant surprise. We ended up coaching a tee ball team and a fast pitch team together. He was a great man. What an incredibly selfless man and friend. It would be difficult to try and thankfully recall all the kind acts he devoted himself to....Although there is an empty place here, he now enjoys the rewards of his heavenly home.
