Roberta Ida Todd's Obituary
Roberta Ida Todd, age 76 of Hawkins went to be with her Lord on Sunday January 27, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1936 in Lake County, Michigan, the daughter of Donald E. and Loretta L. (Madison) Youngs. Roberta retired from the Mecosta County Clerks office. Prior to that she had worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. then Ferris State University. She had been a member of the Barton Township Zoning Board, was active with fund raising for the American Cancer Society and was a long time member of Charity Baptist Church. She is survived by Gerald, her husband of 57 years, two sons, Kevin (Barbara) Todd of Hawkins, Rendel (Tracy) Todd of Rockford, three grandchildren, Julianna, Troy and Rendel Alan Jr. two brothers, Edd (Nelda) Youngs, and Carl (Debbie) Youngs, three sisters, Inga Akey, Karoline (Michael) Allen, and Kathryn (Ronald) Todd, sister-in-law, Joanne Youngs, plus several nieces and nephews. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Arthur and Leo Youngs, her mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Lillian Todd plus several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Charity Baptist Church 20980 20 Mile Rd in Paris with Pastor Robert King officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will be at Davenport Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sloan Kettering Cancer Research, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Charity Baptist Church or the American Lung Association for Pulmonary Fibrosis Research.
