When I first started at Ferris and we moved here from Cleveland, Robin and Bruce invited us for dinner...Robin was leaving in a few days for a horse event and invited Cindy...Cindy declined (we are city people after all), but a few years later our daughter was born and insisted on getting involved in horses...so Robin's invite would have been a good introduction for Cindy. I met Robin in December 1993 when I started working as an MSW at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. We became great horsey friends. She found my first adult horse - Harry - for me and taught me how to pull a horse trailer. Our friendship extended beyond horses and I will always cherish the time we spent together, whether on the trails, working together, or going out for a meal. She was one in a million.
The Ferris State University Emeriti Association sends its condolences to Bruce and family for their loss of Robin.
Robin was the first person we communicated with before moving to Big Rapids. She was working as a real estate agent and wrote us a warm welcoming letter. Over the years we have enjoyed Robin and Bruce's company at both our home and their's.
