Carter Tillage
My memory of Ron is his humility concerning his test pilot career in the military. In our conversations, I learned he flew the F-111 fighter aircraft. Having had a career in aviation, working in a competitive engine manufacturer to those that powered the F-111, we had several conversations about the many facets of the aircraft and its mission. What struck me about the conversations was that he never steered them to his role as a pilot. To me, it says volumes about the kind of person he was. I respect him for his humility and will miss talking with him at family functions.
