You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Ron was a fantastic man and I have a ton of great memories being around him through the years. I remember fondly those hot summer days laying sod when my Dad had his landscaping business back in the '70's. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could handle a landscape rake like Ron. He was meticulous in getting the grade just right. Getting on one knee to survey the land and instructing us just where he wanted the next shovel of dirt because he noticed a low spot. I loved talking to him because he truly cared what you had to say and made you feel important. He was a family first man even down to his cousins. It was through conversations with him that I found my way to loving to fish. The minute we heard the news, me and my brothers were sharing our memories and all of them had a very familiar tone to them. He made an impact on us and for that I'm thankful.
I read a quote recently: "At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel". I will remember Ron fondly.
Dave Dickmeyer posted a condolenceI am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Ron for many years at GM Design. He was one of the good guys, very talented with always a kind word and a reassuring smile. We sometimes shared lunchtime walks around the lake and chatted. You never saw him without a bottle of water! Although since we both have retired we have not kept in touch, (I moved to Indiana) I will always remember Ron. My heart goes out to all his family. I'm so sorry for your loss!

I was the young guy back in the day when we bowled together in the GM league
and will never forgot the great memories we shared together both on the lanes, softball,
golf and at work. I hope you can find comfort from my prayers during this time.
