Ronald C. Schultz's Obituary
Ronald C. Schultz, age 90, of Paris, passed away on April 30, 2018 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, surrounded by family.
Ron was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 2, 1927 to Cyril and Marion Schultz. He was eldest of three sons. Ron served in the Navy during WWII and will be remembered for his life-long patriotism. It was rare to see him without some sort of patriotic apparel or accessory.

Together they raised five children. Ron worked at the United States Post Office in Big Rapids and eventually retired after many years of service. He especially enjoyed works by John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, and maintained an extensive collection of movies, books and figurines that he collected during his retirement.
In addition, Ron also thoroughly enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, playing Euchre and going to the casino. He played cards at the Mecosta County Senior Center as well as the Eagles Club right up until his death. Even in his late years he was eager for a trip to the casino with family.
Ron is survived by his wife Bess; their children and grandchildren, Jodi (Gary) Benedict (Amy and Jake), Jill Bishop (Charity, Elizabeth, Maria, and Rich), Joel (Deserae) (Amanda, Cody and John), Jeri (Tom) Battle (Megan, Adam, Pheobe and Abby), and Jeff (Michelle, Shawna, Tina and Erika); His brother, Cyril Jr, and his in-laws Marilyn Routley, Mary Drews, Vonnie Routley, JoEllen (Terry) Schuberg, Bill (Sharon) Routley, Larry (Juanita) Routley, Bob (Diana) Routley, Lorrie Routley and Jayne (John) Spedowski.
