Ronald Lee Sieffert's Obituary
Ronald Lee Sieffert passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on October 4, 2023. Ron, the son of Charles and Bernice (Lawson) Sieffert, had a rural upbringing full of adventure with his brothers. This setting provided the backbone of his love for the outdoors and his renowned storytelling.
Following graduation, he went on in his studies, eventually earning a Bachelor’s degree which he put into practice as an Elementary school teacher at Vowles in Mt. Pleasant for over 35 years. Mr. Sieffert touched the minds and hearts of a multitude of students who passed through his doors as eager learners.
In 1966, he married his love, Susan, and together they settled into their life as a couple, eventually having 2 sons of their own. Ron’s generous nature drew friends and family to his side sharing stories and evoking much laughter and joy. He truly enjoyed getting outdoors and the peace that comes with hunting and fishing.
Ron and Susan suffered a devastating loss in 2005 with the death of their son, Brian. Shortly after, Susan passed away in 2007, leaving Ron a widow. With the help of family and friends, Ron carried on with fortitude and generosity, finding joy in his family and friends over the next years. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
