Ronnie Dell Conner's Obituary
Edmore- Ronnie Conner, age 75, of Edmore passed away at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He was born to Russell and Lucretia (Arnold) Conner on June 30, 1945, in Ionia, Michigan. Ronnie grew up in rural Palo attending the elementary school. He graduated in 1964 from Ionia High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in teaching from Central Michigan University. He taught at Breckenridge Community School for 36 years before retiring in 2004. Ronnie married the love of his life, Margie Louise Hunt on June 20, 1981, in Alma, Michigan at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a member of the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ronnie enjoyed working on vehicles, sharing Christian literature at Burley Park, camping, traveling, gardening, plowing snow for others often at no charge, old cars and making and eating ice cream. He enjoyed being active in serving his community through the Acts of Kindness Program of his church. But above all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margie; his children, Brett Conner of Farwell, Marcellus (Heather) Conner of Ionia, Rondell (Ben) Gulick of Carson City, Jacob (Coral) Conner of Edmore; grandchildren, Kasey Conner, Trever Conner, Braddley Conner, Colten Conner, Cameron Conner, Keegan Gulick, Kyle Gulick, Marcellus Conner, Marianella Conner, Bethany Gulick, Javan Conner, Madalee Gulick, Elliott Gulick, Owen Conner, Rhiannon Conner, Hunter Gulick, Sohaila Gulick, Bellamy Gulick; and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kaye (Wayne) Coston of Weidman, Sue (Larry) Wymer of Ithaca.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lucretia.
A funeral service will take place at 3:00pm on Friday, June 18, 2021, at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cedar Lake Michigan with Jeff Marshall officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, June 17 from 5-8 pm at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore and from 1pm until time of service on Friday at the church.
