Rose Ann Dennis' Obituary
Rose Ann Dennis, age 61 of Remus, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Friday, May 30, 2014. Cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to the time of service. Pastor Paul Schneider will officiate with a luncheon to follow at Chapel of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Mecosta.
Rose was born March 30, 1953 in Sheridan, MI, the daughter of Lowaine and Martha (Klingensmith) Witzel. She worked for Electrolux in Greenville for 30 years before retiring at the age of 54. Once retired, her and husband Gerry would spend most winters in Florida where she would go to every flea market and garage sale she came across to find treasures she could bring back to her family.
Rose enjoyed gardening, camping and of course, spending time with her grandchildren. She could do anything from build a deck to work on cars and became known as “Lady MacGyver”. If there was a way to get the job done, she would find it!
Feisty, Jack of all trades, and loving were words used to describe Rose. She will be greatly missed for her great sense of humor, always saying just what was on her mind, and her ability to connect with everyone she met.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother; husband of 36 years, Gerry; sons, Adam, Andy, Mike, and David; daughter, Jennifer Kowaleski; brother, Edward Witzel; sister, Lorraine McLeod; grandchildren, Cora, Garrett, Lydia, and Shelby; Nephew, Phil (Dorothy) Carrick, and many other nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Lowaine Jr. “Buster”.
