Edmore-Rosemary Johnson, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was born in Ionia on February 22, 1940, the daughter of Russell and Evelyn (Snyder) McDowl.Rosemary attended Vestaburg schools in her formative years. She was a homemaker and a mother to her five children. Rosemary was employed by 8 Cap and worked with the Commission on Aging for over ten years.Rosemary enjoyed many things in her life, including flowers, reading, collecting bears and salt and pepper shakers, and road trips.Rosemary is survived by her children, Timothy Palmer of Mt. Pleasant, Rebekah Shattuck of Traverse City, Lois Palmer of Six Lakes, Martha Palmer of Six Lakes; grandchildren, Michael (Anna) Gilbert, Teri Gilbert, Alex Shattuck, Emily (Michael) Mizell, Andrea (Jon) McAllister; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Courser, Kylee McAllister, Lydia Gilbert, Alexis Grove, Evelyn Gilbert, Holly McAllister, Killian Grove.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Johnson; daughter, Mary Ruth Palmer; parents, Russell and Evelyn; and the father of her children, Leon Palmer.A celebration of Rosemary's life will be scheduled for a later date.
