Roy Robert Cole's Obituary
Lakeview-Roy Robert Cole, age 60, of Lakeview passed away at his home on Monday, December 13, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bay City on July 27, 1971, to Russell and Alice (O'Hare) Cole. Roy was raised in Rhodes where he attended Pinconning Schools, graduating in 1979. He was self-employed in the construction industry for most of his working years, and in coal mining while he lived in Wyoming. It was during his time in Wyoming that he met his soulmate, Dana Jones-Pickvet. They were married on July 17, 2017, in Stanton. Roy was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping riding quads and traveling. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friend, and being a grandpa.
Roy will forever be missed and is survived by his wife, Dana; daughter, Lacey (Scott) Cameron; stepchildren, Brett (Daisy) Jones, Melissa (Steve) Hickcox, Jennifer (Bill) Stagray; grandchildren, Zoey Cameron, Jasper Jones, Austin Tyler and Kenny Hickcox, Delilah, Khloe and Brody Stagray; siblings, Darlene Stenger, Donna Shreve, Darrell Cole; sisters-in-law, Melinda (Bob) Jones, Kim (Harold) Nelson, Wendy (Todd) Rahn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Alice; and 2 brothers, James and Rodney Cole.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Spring.
