Roy Holsworth's Obituary
Roy Holsworth Jr. passed away Friday the 29th of July at Altercare after a long fight with lung cancer.
Roy was born in Pontiac Michigan in 1931 to Roy Henry and Maude Holsworth.
He served proudly in the Unites States Navy for four years during the Korean war aboard the USS Achernar AK-53.
He was a member of the VFW post2335 in Mecosta where he served as post commander from 1976-1977.
He was a stone mason for over 60 years as well as a musician with his own country band.
He cherished his time with Joyce, his wife of 60 years, his children, grand children, and great grandchildren.
Roy lives on through his four children, Debbie, of South Bend, Mark(Amy) of Rodney, Chris of Beal City, Aaron(Janelle) of Rodney
Grandchildren, Chris (Courtney),Caleb, Marielle, Tyler,(Amanda), Brandon, Courtney, Roy, Matthew, and Kellie, and great grandchildren, Blake, Jake and Luke.
He is also survived by many lifelong friends and relatives.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, Parents, Roy and Maude, Siblings, Ray, Bob, Mack, Dick, Jean, Bonnie, Jerry and Betty.
A private service for family will be held at the Martiny Township cemetary on Friday, August 5th at 10:00 A.M.
