Ruth Katherine Burggren's Obituary
Ruth Katherine (White) Burggren, age 75, of McBride, passed away at Masonic Pathways in Alma on June 28, 2018. She was born on September 3, 1942 in Ithaca, the daughter of Elmer and Julia (Raducha) White. Ruth was a twin with her sister Ruby. She was raised in Ithaca and graduated from Ithaca Schools with the class of 1961. She married Clyde John "Jack" Burggren on September 29, 1962, at the McBride Hall. Ruth enjoyed gardening, canning, puzzles, crocheting, playing cards, cats, listening to Elvis Presley and hanging out with family and friends. She was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed being a seasonal employee.
Ruth will be missed by her children, Clyde John "Jr." (Carla) Burggren of Muskegon, Donald (Debra) Burggren of Stanton, Tina (Marc Perkola) Preston of Six Lakes, Cheryl (Jack Parks) Burggren of Edmore, Michael (Marlena) Burggren of Vestaburg; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way); 3 sisters, Ruby Rohn of Stanton, Mary (James) Riordan of River Grove, IL, and Betty (James) Abell of Alma; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Burggren; her parents Elmer and Julia White; 3 brothers, Ray, Charlie and Arthur White; 2 sisters, Shirley Bartrum, and Teresa Edgar; and a great-grandchild, Brantley Harkness on June 1, 2013.
