Sally Irene Jack's Obituary
Lakeview-Sally Irene Jack, age 81, of Lakeview went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born in Jackson, Michigan to Brant Sr. and Dorothy (Pierce) Venlet. The family later moved to Morley, where Sally attended Morley Stanwood Public School, graduating in 1961. On March 16, 1963, she married Wayne A. Jack. They had 5 children together and resided in Morley until 1974 when they moved the family to Lakeview. Sally was a homemaker for most of her life until she was employed at Lakeview's Dime Store until their closing. She then was employed at McDonald's in Lakeview from their opening day until 2009, when she retired following the death of her beloved husband, Wayne Jack. In her free time Sally liked to do puzzles of all sorts, jigsaw and crosswords were her favorites. You could always find her sitting at the table reading her Bible in the morning. She loved going outside on warm days to tend to her flower garden or take a walk. She loved her family and getting on the floor to play with her great-grandson, Russell brought her much joy.Sally will forever be missed and is survived by her children, Teresa (Mark) Maxfield of Lakeview, Duane (Lynett) Jack of Lakeview, Steven (Kristina) Jack of Trufant, Jennifer Jack of Lakeview; grandchildren, Clarissa (Roy) Lakusta, Bethany, Christopher, Daniel (Talisa) Maxfield, Curtis Cole, Amber Jack, Ashley (Abel) Gonzalez, Kyler, Tarik, Emily, Megan Jack; great-grandchildren, Ariella Maxfield, Russell Kooienga, Nova Swanson, Ethan Clements, Chase Lakusta, Cayden Griffen; sisters, Mary Murtland of Morley, Janet (Robert) Proctor of Lakeview; brother Brant Jr. (Kris) Venlet of Wyoming, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A. Jack; son, Kevin L. Jack; parents, Brant Sr. and Dorothy Venlet; and sisters, Patricia Hasper, Dorothy Hemminger, Carolyn Lach and Barbara Fitzgerald.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesdy, July 23, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Rick Carpenter officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
