Sally Amelia Monroe's Obituary
Sally Amelia (Ulrich) Monroe, 76, of Big Rapids, MI, formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2012. She was born on January 21, 1936 in Stanwood, Michigan. Sally was the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Kietzman) Ulrich who preceded her in death. Sally's true love belonged to her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She spent many years caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking trips with her siblings. Sally is survived by her partner in life, Leonard Worth; her daughters, Julia Barton, Sue (Ken) Taft, Janet Monroe, Sandy (Ed) Ruszkowski; her beloved grandchildren, Becki (Craig) Habel, Clay Bogema, Luke (Morgan) VanDenBerg, Michael (Leah) LaPine, Alexis (Brad) Brockway, Emily VanDenBerg, Annalyse LaPine, Eric Drogosch, Nicholas Kirk, Zachary Aldworth, Madie Taft, Chelsea Ruszkowski, Beth (Doug) Covey, and Lisa Barton; her beloved great grandchildren, Samantha and James Bogema, Bella and Drew Habel, Ashlyn LaPine, Elisabeth VanDenBerg and Alyssa and Nevin Covey. Also surviving are her siblings, Nadine (Bob) Johnson, Carol (Gayle) Harrell, David (Mary) Ulrich, Kathy Paul and Brother-in-law Tom Weipert, plus several nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her twin sister Susan Weipert, brother-in-law Larry Paul and Son-in-law Keith Barton. Sally's family will receive friends Saturday, December 15 at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 408 W. Bellevue , Big Rapids, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church or your local Hospice.
