Sandra C. Arnold's Obituary
Sandra C. (Herbert) Arnold, 80, of Remus, passed away on August 24th and is resting peacefully in the arms of The Lord.
Born to John and Theresa Bretz. She attended Warren High School, graduating early. In June of 1962 she married Joseph Roth. Together, they had 3 daughters. Although the union didn’t last long, they remained lifelong friends and Monarchs of the family.
The happiness of her second marriage was welcoming her youngest daughter.
Throughout the years, Sandra’s adventurous spirit led her to become an LPN, city cab driver and even repossessed cars.
In 1980 she met Bill, and with him, she gained a son Robert.
Sandra worked for Chrysler stamping plant, where she sustained serious injury and was forced to retire.
She and husband Bill decided to enjoy the quiet life by moving to Remus in 1992. Together they made “the big blue house on the hill” home. It was a busy home, flowing with many grandkids. She always had room for one more. She was an avid Chippewa Hills Wrestling fan, never missing a Meet or Tournament. And she became “grandma” to many more. She was always encouraging and had a safe place for anyone who needed it. After her husband Bill passed away and grandkids had grown, she began to traveled a bit.
She then met her husband, Gary. Their honeymoon was her dream trip, Hawaii. Traveling frequently, he had taken her to where her ancestors walked, White Earth Indian Reservation. Together, they attended Faith United Methodist Church in Barryton and honorably served with the Barryton American Legion. Sandra and Gary enjoyed riding their motorcycles, she was an avid gardener and always had a craft she was working on.
She will be forever missed by Husband, Gary Arnold, Daughters: Rosanne (Vince) Beard, Suzanne (Darrell) Totten, Joanne Risdon and Sarah (Dwight) Parrish and son Robert Herbert. 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and lifetime friend Joseph Roth.
She was proceeded in death by husband, Bill, grandchildren Joe and Lacy Loren and Ivy Risdon and Son-in-law, John Risdon.
A Celebration of an amazing Life will be at 11 am September 21, 2024 at Faith United Methodist Church in Barryton. Luncheon to follow at Barryton Community Center on 20 Mile Road in Barryton.
