Sandra Kay Dingwell's Obituary
Sandra Kay Dingwell, 69, of Rodney, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was born January 15, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and Lucille (Cain) Reed. A longtime resident of Rodney, Sandra devoted her life to her home and family.
Sandra was a homemaker whose happiest moments were spent outdoors. She loved gardening, watching things grow, and finding beauty in the simple rhythms of nature. She was also passionate about genealogy, and she took great joy in tracing family history and preserving stories for the next generation. Charismatic, stubborn, loving, and caring, Sandra had a vibrant personality and a heart that welcomed everyone. She was a collector of many things and served as the steady caretaker of her family, always putting others before herself.
Among her greatest joys were her three African gray parrots, whom she adored and lovingly tended to each day.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Monica (Bill) Reed; grandchildren Alyssa (Cory) Berwanger, Samantha Roszell (Derek), and Vanessa Dines; and great-grandson Gunnar Berwanger; her siblings Don (Carolyn) Reed, Steve (Patty) Reed, and Brian (Barbara) Reed; sisters-in-law Vicky (Tim) Davenport and Sharon Joslyn; brother-in-law Dennis (Cheri) Dingwell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ricky Dingwell, her parents, sister Brenda, brother Bob, and beloved parrot Harley.
In keeping with her wishes, no services are planned at this time.
