Scott Anthony Hood's Obituary
Lakeview-Scott Anthony Hood, age 61, of Howard City passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was born in Grand Rapids on November 30, 1959, the son of David Sr. and Roberta (Lafata) Hood. Scott was raised in Grand Rapids where he attended Rogers High School, graduating with the class of 1977. He was employed by Steelcase as a cabinet maker for over 28 years. Scott met the love of his life, Catherine "Cathy" Blasen in Grand Rapids and they were married on June 13, 1986. He was a hard-working man who loved his family deeply. Scott was an excellent cook, grill master and baker. Holiday meals where his specialty. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, painting, old cars and repairing them.
Scott will forever be missed and is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy; children, Chassity Hood, Anthony Hood, Charlinda Lupien, Amanda Mcrabow, Judy Hood, Audrey Sutherland, Nichole Blish; grandchildren, Angel, Xavier, Jaylynn "Tigger", Tory, Kamren "Fred", Amyia, Kylie, Garret, Zanya, Ellie, Emma, Isabella, Mazzliynn, Brynlee, Krissy; step-mother, Dorothy Hood; siblings, Donna Hood, David Hood Jr., Robin Hood; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was greeted at the gates of heaven by his parents; and son-in-law, Benjamine Lupien.
A celebration of Scott's life will be held next summer in Escanaba, Michigan.
