Shaunna Marie Burke's Obituary
Shaunna Marie McClellan Burke, age 31, of Vestaburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, July 1, 2016. Shaunna was born on December 29, 1984 in Alma, Michigan, the daughter of Harry Lee McClellan and Cheryl Ann Freeman. Shaunna was raised in Vestaburg and graduated from Vestaburg High School Class of 2003. She continued her education receiving her Associates of Business degree from Montcalm Community College. Shaunna was employed as a bartender for multiple companies. On October 12, 2013, Shaunna married Chad Douglas Burke. Her greatest passion was her husband and her children; she loved being a mother. She enjoyed gardening, flower boxes, her cows, and going out for rides.
Shaunna will be deeply missed by her husband Chad Burke of Vestaburg; her three sons Chad Jr., Trés Lee, and Mac Alvin Burke of Vestaburg; two step-daughters Alexa and Brooke Burke of Austin, TX; her father Harry Lee McClellan (Patti Shepler) of Vestaburg; her mother Cheryl (Dave) Haywood of Mecosta; father-in-law Doug Burke of Six Lakes; father and mother-in-law David and Kelly Hunt of Stanton; brother Travis McClellan of Vestaburg; step-brother, Neal (Alicia) Shepler of Vestaburg; step-sister Nichole Shepler of Vestaburg; brother-in-law Joshua (Britani) Guild of Lakeview; sister-in-law Amy (Dave) Bard of Grand Rapids; grandparents Elmer and Faith Freeman, and Harry and Kathy McClellan all of Vestaburg, Ruth and Earl Burke of Six Lakes, and Roy and Vena Gomez of Edmore; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Shaunna was preceded in death by her grandmother Hazel (Ley) Freeman, and one very special friend Tricia Boultinghouse.
Funeral Services for Shaunna will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Vestaburg, MI with Pastor Steve Hale officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Burial will be at Richland Township Cemetery followed by a luncheon that will be announced at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, the family has set up a trust account at Chemical Bank in the name Amy Bard for the boys.
