Sheldon E. Snyder's Obituary
Sheldon E. Snyder, age 97, of Lakeview passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, with his family around him. He was a cherished dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Sheldon was born on December 14, 1928, on the farm in the Lakeview-Morley area. He and Virginia both graduated from Morley High School, and they were married on September 21, 1948. He was employed as a small motor mechanic for Lindsey Sporting Goods and Ideal Craft Shop followed by a career in Carpentry until his retirement. Sheldon enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, bowling and golf. He loved spending time outside on his 4-wheeler plowing snow and mowing the lawn.
Sheldon is survived by his children, Randy (Nancy) Snyder of Lakeview, Steven (Sally) Snyder of Trufant, Renae (Reid) Chaffee of Amble, Bradley (Sherri) Snyder of Lakeview; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and 2 granddaughters, Macy and Angelique.
