Shirley Ruth Nostrant's Obituary
Shirley Ruth (Hopkins) Nostrant, age 72 of Remus passed away August 10, 2014 at The Laurel’s of Mt. Pleasant with her family at her side. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 14 at 1:00 PM at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus with burial to follow at Wambolt Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, and one hour prior to the funeral service.
Shirley was born September 24, 1941, the daughter of Albert K. and Beatrice (Jeffrey) Hopkins. She married Larry Nostrant on November 19, 1958.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Larry; three children, Richard Nostrant, Fred Nostrant and Vicky Nostrant; four grandchildren, Lynn, Jere, Larry, Shirley; six great-grandchildren; a special niece, Mary lee Farmer; brother, Floyd (Joyce) Hopkins; one brother-in-law, Jim Sniff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Albert “Buck” Hopkins, Raymond Hopkins; three sisters, Cleo (Art) Hemmingsen, Betty Lou Johnson, Florence Irene Hopkins; sisters-in-law, Patricia Hopkins, Rose Hopkins, Marie (Jr.) King, Reva (Leon) Taylor; brother-in-law, Richard Sniff; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mary Nostrant.
