Sibyl Jean Swansey's Obituary
Edmore-Sibyl Jean (Simpson) Swansey, age 90, of Edmore, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born in Galatia, Illinois, on October 19, 1929, the daughter of William and Dora (Tuttle) Simpson, and was raised in Ypsilanti, MI. Sibyl married James Swansey in Freemont, Ohio on February 9, 1946 and spent 30 years together before his passing in 1975. She worked as a layout specialist for lithography at Edward's Brothers Inc. for over 35 years. Sibyl enjoyed working, reading, scrapbooking, bowling, sewing and flowers, and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg.
Sibyl is survived by her children, Dawne Klump of Spokane, WA, Doreen (Edward) Wallman of Riverdale, and Jeffrey (Sharon) Swansey of Springerville, AZ; grandchildren, Connie (Eric) Whitmire, James (Christina) Wallman, Chad (Nacomie) Wallman, Julia (Steven) Thorn, Stephanie Wanty (Paul); great-grandchildren, Ian and Teagan Whitmire, Annabelle, Hunter, Blade, Jacob and Fisher Wallman, Phelix, Bryce and Geoffrey Wanty; and her brother, Quentin (Barbara) Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; both of her parents; a son-in-law, Thomas Klump; and her sister, Lois Vergille.
No services are scheduled at this time. Contributions in Sibyl's memory may be directed to Southern Care Hospice of Saginaw.
