Steven Charles Hall's Obituary
Big Rapids -- Steven C. Hall, age 68, of Big Rapids passed away Monday, May 4, 2015 at home. He was born in Big Rapids on May 9, 1946, the son of Charles J. and Kathleen (Mehl) Hall. He was a lifelong resident of Big Rapids, graduating from high school in 1965. He earned an associate's degree in Welding Technology from Ferris in 1967. Steve married Delores Dalziel in 1978. He owned and operated Hall's Texaco Gas Station on Third Avenue for many years. Later he managed and owned apartments. Steve was a member of the local Elks Club 974, Eagles 2535, Amvets 1941, Reed City Moose Lodge 705, Morley American Legion Post 554, and VFW Post 7968 in Arizona. He enjoyed playing his guitar, pontoon rides on the river, playing cards with friends and family, golfing, pool, hunting, fishing, camping, and travel. Steve is survived by his wife, "Dee;" on son, Randy Hall of Maple City; one sister, Sherrie (Wayne) Vaughn of Big Rapids; aunts and uncles, Marge and Dave Hall of Big Rapids, Bonnie and Douglass Randolph of Spring Arbor; plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cindy. A celebration of life in Steve's honor will begin at 4:00 pm, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Eagles Club with the Elks Club Tribute. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Foundation or directly to Steven's wife, Dee.
