Steven Bruce Whitney's Obituary
Lakeview-Steven "Steve" Bruce Whitney, age 43, of Lakeview passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born in Muskegon on April 13, 1978, to Alan Sr. and Tammy (Cramblit) Whitney. Steve was raised in Niles where he attended Brandywine High School, graduating with the class of 1997. He was employed by Trigon Armaments in Stanton. Steve was a man of great faith. We Know without a doubt he is in heaven watching over us and waiting until the day we are reunited. Steve's greatest joy on this earth was his girls. He loved them with all that he was. He was so proud of who they were growing up to be. He shared his faith with them and that will comfort them forever. Steve loved his family and his friends. He was always willing to lend his hand to help. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the beauty he found in nature and being out in it. He will be greatly missed and loved by us all. Until we meet again.
Steve is survived by his daughters, Hanna Grace, Lauren Oliva and their mother, Brandy Whitney; mother, Tammy Whitney (Bryon Carpenter); father, Alan (Carol) Whitney Sr.; siblings, Alan (Laura) Whitney Jr., Jason (Alice) Whitney, Kay (Nick) Ramsay, Josh (Lindsey) Carpenter, Dustin (Emilee) Carpenter, Jessika (Rui) Carpenter, Trenton (Sarah) Carpenter; maternal grandmother, Nancy Cramblit; paternal grandfather, Darold (Ruth) Whitney; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, church family; and his beloved hunting dogs.
He was preceded in death by Mary Whitney and Jim Imhoff.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Lakeview Community Church with Paster Ben officiating.
