Sue Ann Gilbert's Obituary
Big Rapids - Sue Ann Gilbert, 67, of Big Rapids, passed away March 4, 2022, at Mission Point of Big Rapids.
She was born January 4, 1955, in Shelby, the daughter of George and Arlene (Strouse) McLouth, and graduated from Shelby High School in 1973. For several years, Sue lived in Fremont until moving to Big Rapids in 1996.
For nearly 15 years, Sue was a driver for various taxi companies in the area. She also attended the Assembly of God Church. Sue loved to crochet, specializing in baby blankets, and also enjoyed a good game of cribbage.
In 1983, she married Thomas A. Gilbert, who preceded her in death in 2018. Sue is survived by their son Thomas W. (Merrlene) Gilbert of Manistee; their daughter Courtney Gilbert of Big Rapids; grandson Tommy; her sister Joanne (Ben) Martinez; several nieces and nephews; and her fur grandbabies Kyo and Kisa.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Memorial contributions in Sue's name may be made for New Journey Clubhouse. Share a memory or express condolences at mohnkefuneralhome.com
