Teri Lynn Kelsh's Obituary
Chippewa Lake - Teri Lynn Kelsh, 69, of Chippewa Lake, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital.
She was born October 6, 1950, in Big Rapids, the daughter of Alex "Pud" and Kathryn "Tillie" (Otto) Conard, where she was voted Big Rapids Prettiest Baby. She attended Big Rapids Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1968.
Teri married Larry Kelsh in June 1973, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Big Rapids. She worked at the local Giant Supermarket for a number of years before becoming a full-time stay-at-home mom. She volunteered in Big Rapids working at St. Vincent De Paul and donated a lot of her time to Chippewa Lake Lion's Club.
Teri was an avid birdwatcher, but cardinals were her favorite. She loved living in Chippewa Lake and collecting lighthouses. You could often find her cooking for a crowd and making hairpin-lace blankets. Spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, brought immense joy to her life where their passions became hers.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 47 years, Larry; their children, Amy (Tony) Case, Holly (Josh) Haney, Kevin Kelsh, Tim (Aimee) Kelsh, Jared (Shelby) Kelsh; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Mykenzi, Gavin and Addyson Haney, Riley, Ava and Brogan Case, Aleigha, Hadley, Carson and Brynlee Kelsh; her brothers, Joe, Jeff (Julie) and Tony (Kim) Conard; her brother-in-law Tom Everin; her mother-in-law Natalie Kelsh; her aunts Kaye Hassen and Karolyn Otto; and many nieces and nephews,. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Tami Everin and Debbie Conard, and her father-in-law George Kelsh.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Father Michael Burt officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Big Rapids. Teri's family will greet friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the funeral home, and beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or St. Mary School, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
