Terry Weldon Stevens' Obituary
Lakeview-Terry Weldon Stevens, age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Altercare in Big Rapids. He was born in Grand Rapids on March 24, 1944, the son of Hal and Vivian (Crame) Stevens. Terry was raised in Lakeview where he attended school. He was a dedicated carpenter, beginning to learn the trade at age 14. He was employed by the Jensen's in Lakeview, and Gust Construction in Cedar Springs before becoming self employed until his retirement in 2008. Terry married the love of his life, Georgianna Hanson on April 26, 1964 at the home of Rev. Fetty in Lakeview. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, and playing for and managing the men's softball team for the Village Tavern. Terry always had a big grin on his face and would help anyone who asked. He loved his family and spending time with them and being a builder.
Terry will forever be missed and is survived by, his wife of 57 years, Georgianna of Lakeview; his children, Debora Grummet of Lakeview, Kurt Stine of Lakeview, Shelly (Edward) Fine of Russellville, AR; grandchildren, Frank, Megan, Carson, Randi, Donnie, Gus, Scott, Christopher, Georgianna, Claire; 19 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gordon (Charlotte) Stevens of Lakeview; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Vivian; and his siblings, Sharon, Keith, Richard and Sheryl.
