Terry Lee Wilcox's Obituary
Age 64, of Lakeview, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI. Terry was born February 9, 1951 in Grand Rapids, the son of Homer P. and Hazel Corey Wilcox. He was raised in the Lowell and Ada area, and graduated from Kent Occupational Training Center in 1969.
Terry was employed by Furniture City Manufacturing, US Marble, CS Manufacturing, and Hayworth Wood Components as a General Laborer, and Fork Lift Driver. He was also self employed as a Semi Truck Driver.
His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, vehicles and lawnmowers, campfires, beaches, walking the pier at Grand Haven, family get togethers, cuddling with grandchildren. He loved to see smiles and not frowns.
Terry married the love of his life, Celesta Winright on January 27, 1979 in Grand Rapids. Together they raised three wonderful children.
Terry will be deeply missed by his wife Celesta Wilcox; three children, Jason Lee Wilcox and Jeffery Allen Wilcox both of Lakeview, and Jessica Lynn Pomeroy of Six Lakes; two grandchildren Chelsie Roseann and Gracelyn Maycee Pomeroy; two sisters, Betty (Ferrel) Morise of Newaygo and Lila Carr of Hopkins; one brother Perry Wilcox of Byron Center; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by parents, Homer P. and Hazel Wilcox and newborn baby, Jennifer Rose.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Jeff Lemire officiating. A light luncheon will be held following the service in the banquet hall. Memorial contributions may be made payable to the family to assist with final expenses.
