Timothy "Tim" James Moyer's Obituary
Timothy James Moyer, age 68, of Lakeview, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, in Detroit, Michigan. Tim was born on September 27, 1954, in Lakeview, the son of James Walter and Shirley Ruth (Sorrell) Moyer. He was raised in Lakeview and attended Lakeview Community Schools. From the time Tim was a young child, he was raised around his family's business, driving trucks. So of course, Tim naturally spent his life on the road. He drove for Shurlow Trucking for seventeen years, then for Brad Peasley for fourteen years. Tim enjoyed snowmobiling, and motorcycles. His true passion was both driving truck and his family.Tim will be remembered by two siblings, Robin Gould of Morley, and David (Mary) Moyer of Lakeview; and several nieces and nephews.Tim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley Moyer; three brothers Bill, Rick, and Jeff Moyer; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Gould.The family will greet friends at a memorial visitation, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, MI. All are invited for a luncheon in the funeral home banquet hall following the visitation. Those wishing to make a contribution in Tim's memory are asked to consider the family.
