Vandra Viola Olger's Obituary
Vandra Viola Olger, age 76, of Blanchard, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, with her beloved husband, Dale, and family by her side.
Vandra was born to Charles and Viva Murray on January 3, 1950. She graduated as part of the very first graduating class of Chippewa Hills High School, where she met the love of her life, Dale Olger. The two were united in marriage on June 7, 1969, and together built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Vandra was a true homebody, happiest in the comfort of her simple surroundings. She found joy in playing cards, spending time with her beloved dog, and, most of all, making memories with her grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for being funny, loving, and deeply caring to all who knew her. Her warmth and kindness will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 57 years, Dale Olger; her children, and Amanda (Billy) Shappee; Michael Olger, Leisa Lippert, Mendy Keim and her brother, Charles Murray; and her treasured grandchildren, Jareth, Rachelle, Clayton, Andrew, Jarien, Terra, Lucas, Courtney, Lyn, Cheyenne, Zackery, Breann, Megen, Levi. Great grandchildren; Kate, Jo and Jayce.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Charles and Viva Murray; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services for Vandra will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Kelly will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Church of God in Edmore, Michigan.
Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Janowicz Family Funeral Home of Remus, Michigan.
