Vera W. Nofzinger's Obituary
Edmore-Vera W. Nofzinger (Kilpatrick), age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 4, at Addington Place, in Dewitt, MI. She was born on September 7, 1928, in Bliss, Michigan, to Lawrence and Nina (Johnson) Kilpatrick. Vera married Lester Nofzinger on October 24, 1948, in Levering, Michigan. They were married for 48 years. She grew up in Bliss and after marrying moved to Oregon. They returned in 1953, living in Mason until 1977, and then retired to Six Lakes, Michigan. She resided there until September 2, 2021.
Vera enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, fishing, knitting, crocheting, and most of all she enjoyed reading her Bible daily.
She is survived by one son, Larry (Kathy) Nofzinger of Grayling, and two daughters, Sharyl (Leonard) Jacobs of Queen Creek, Arizona, Linda (Gary) Ferris of Lansing; Vera has ten loving grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Her husband, son, Duane, and great-grandson, Jeremiah preceded her in death. She was the sole survivor of ten siblings, Gladys, Clayton, Emma, Eunice, Lenard, Leon, Leona, Johnny, Arlene, and Donald.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor Aaron Hadley officiating. Interment will be in Vinewood Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
