Virginia "Ginny" Marlene Timiney's Obituary
Lakeview - Virginia "Ginny" Marlene Timiney, age 80, of Lakeview passed away on May 25, 2019 at Ashley Care Center. Ginny was born on July 26, 1938 in Lakeview, the daughter of Erville and Elaine (Traulsen) Skinner. She was raised in Lakeview and graduated from Lakeview High School with the class of 1956. On June 22, 1956 Ginny was married to the love of her life, George "Bud" Timiney Jr. by Rev. Fetty at the Asbury Methodist Church in Lakeview. Ginny was a homemaker and all-time super mom. Her family was the most important accomplishment in her life. She never had dreams of a fancy life or travel. All of her hopes centered around her family. She loved holidays, and would start saving the day after Christmas for the following year. Bud said he was the luckiest man to have found her and that they are the luckiest family to have known her unconditional and never- ending love and graciousness. Ginny called everyone "Sis". She was the rock, strength, and matriarch of her family. She always loved and respected her husband. Ginny worked for Hi-Q Industries and also for Butler's Dry Cleaners. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, gardening, watching mysteries and crime dramas, listening to classic country music, especially George Jones, and was a fabulous cook.
Ginny will be deeply missed and is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Timiney Jr.; her children, Marcia Gorman (Rob Korn) of Otisville, Cindy (Edward) Macomber of Pierson and Danny (Michelle) Timiney of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica Graham) Gorman, Brittany Gorman, Shannon (Chris) Kozak, Aaron Macomber, Morgan (Caroline) Timiney, Katelin Timiney (Garrick Dooley); 4 great-grandchildren, Kaydin, Sydney, Sawyer and Kingston; her sister, Charlotte (Gordon) Stevens of Lakeview and her brothers, Larry (Deanna) Skinner of Deland, FL and Tom Skinner of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Erville and Elaine Skinner; and her sister and brother in law, Pat and Ernie Gould.
