Virginia E. Nutt's Obituary
Big Rapids Virginia E. Nutt, 85, of Big Rapids, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at Mecosta County Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1922, in Big Rapids, the daughter of William and Rose (Johansen) Krupp, and lived here her entire life. In 1940, she graduated from Big Rapids High School. On March 18, 1945, she married Melvin Nutt, who preceded her in death in 1989. Virginia was a long-time member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. Lovingly known as Grandma, she enjoyed cooking, especially to young people. She also loved fishing, and watching the Game Show Network. Virginia is survived by 2 daughters, Janice Kozitzki of Evart, and Joyce (Carl) Holt of Big Rapids; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Evelyn (Ernie) Westlock of Ludington; 1 brother, Gordon (Kay) Krupp of Tacoma, WA; and many nieces and nephews. Virginia was also preceded in death by her sisters Alice, Martha, and Irene, and her brothers Bill and Arnold. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2008, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with burial to follow in the Highland View Cemetery. Memorial contributions for the Activities Department at Grand Oaks Nursing Center of Baldwin may be left at the funeral home, where Virginias family will greet friends on both Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and prior to services on Friday.
