Vivian Ruth Hey's Obituary
Lakeview-Vivian Ruth Hey of Entrican went to be home with her Lord and Saviour on June 6, 2022. She was born in Entrican on January 15, 1923, to Lyle and Berniece (Thompson) Pintler. Vivian spent her whole life as a resident of Entrican, where she attended Lakeview High School graduating in 1941. She married the love of her life, Otto William Hey on October 25, 1942. Vivian was a lifelong farming assistant, working alongside her father, husband, and son. She was employed by Chief Wabasis potato growers, and the Tri County Hospital prior to spending over 20 years at the Secretary of State offices, retiring in 1989. During that same time Vivian served her community for a total of 46 years as Douglass Township Trustee, Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer. She was a faithful member of the Entrican Bible Church, and Entrican Gleaners, as well as a 4H leader. Vivian and Otto were heavily involved in Michigan Flying Farmers. She was able to make many trips by plane, car, bus, and train covering all 50 states with her husband and friends. Vivian was a hard-working woman who loved her family deeply and leaves a legacy for generations to come.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Hadley of Edmore; son-in-law, Richard Hamilton of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Lorri (Tim) Ratliff of Allendale, Charles (Janet) Hamilton of Rockford, Craig (Melissa) Hamilton of Wyoming, Troy Hamilton of Byron Center, Sherri (Terry) Keilholtz of Lakeview, Cassandra (Joe) Davis of Sidney, Aaron (Nicole) Hadley of Edmore, Marisa (Trevor) Mumford of Edmore; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sharlene Hopp of Entrican; special friend, Jennie Huey; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto in 1964; her parents; son, Otto Dale Hey; daughter, Joyce Hamilton; grandsons, Otto Raymond Hey and Gregory Hey; siblings, Dale Pintler, Shirley Hopp and Verdena Borup.
Funeral services for Vivian will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Entrican Bible Church, 3899 Grow Rd. NW, Stanton with Pastors John Macomber, Aaron Hadley and Eugene Kooi officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Entrican. The family will greet friends at the Entrican Bible Church on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 12:00-3:00 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
