Vivian D. Marston's Obituary
Edmore-Vivian D. Marston, 92, of Blanchard, Michigan, passed away on March 19, 2021, in Alma, Michigan.
Vivian was born in Montcalm County on April 10, 1928, the only child of Robert and Anna (Cook) Crawford. Vivian grew up on the family farm and attended school in Montcalm County, graduating from Edmore High School in 1946. She met and married Edd L. Marston of Blanchard, and moved to Blanchard, Michigan, following their marriage on June 14, 1947.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Vivian found great joy in caring for and spending time with family. While she worked outside the home both at Federal Mogul in Greenville and for Blanchard then Montabella Community Schools, family was the central focus of her time and energies.
Vivian is survived by her three children, David (June) Marston of Blanchard, Robert (Patricia) Marston of Sheridan, and Lori Goddeyne of Bay City. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Andrea (Chris) Hallead with great-granddaughter Samantha, Ryan (Jessica) Marston with great-granddaughters Lucy and Vivian, Nathaniel Marston (Samantha) with great-granddaughter Hazel, and Jennifer (Krystian) Koperniak.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law Dennis Goddeyne, and her husband of 70 years, Edd L. Marston.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a. m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, with Pastor Richard Eldred officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 25, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore from 3:00 until 7:00 p. m., and again on Friday from 10:00 a. m. until the time of service. A private internment service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to United by Faith Christian Church in Wyman, Michigan.
