Walter Lewis Neal, age 63, of Edmore passed away unexpectedly, at his home on Monday, August 3, 2020. Walt was born on September 1, 1956, in Lansing, the son of Francis and Donna (Flagg) Neal. He was raised in the Bath area where Read Obituary

One of my favourite drives as a kid was the drive from Lansing to Mt Pleasant to stay with Connie, Walt, Jimmy, and Timmy. I especially liked traveling there with Walt. We would talk about all kinds of things, and it was always interesting. Uncle Walt talked to me like I had something important to say. I loved the tunnel of trees we drove through on the route he took, seemedto be a marker that we were closer than not to arriving. My favourite time was the winter, when the snow would flow against the windshield like stars streaming towards us. It was like being in another world, just for a time. As an adult, I can imagine that may have been a less favored situation. As a child, it was magickal, and I never felt anything other than safe.
