Wanda Joyce Grover's Obituary
Wanda Joyce (Lavery) Grover, age 85, of Vestaburg passed away at her home on July 16, 2018. Wanda was born in Greenville on October 19, 1932, the daughter of Evelyn and Marie (Greenhoe) Lavery. She was raised in Montcalm County and attended Stanton High School. Wanda married Lawrence Grover on November 19, 1952 in Stanton. She was employed at Hi-Q industries in Lakeview until retiring in the late 1980's. She enjoyed working in her yard, walking and especially spending time with her family. Wanda loved teaching Sunday school and spent more than 50 years as a teacher at the First Baptist Church in Vestaburg.
Wanda is survived by her children, Audrey (Rodney) Shattuck of Vestaburg, Deborah (Roger) Hinton of McBride, Zane (Deana) Grover of Ithaca; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eleanor Riojas of Lakeview. She will also be missed dearly by her two little dogs and one neighboring dog.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Grover in1998; 2 sons, Robert Grover in 1989, Joe Grover in 2002; and her granddaughter, Melissa Franks in 2013.
Services for Wanda will take place on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Noon followed by a luncheon at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Vestaburg.
