William "Bill" R. Hyde's Obituary
Lakeview-William "Bill" R. Hyde, age 97, of Morley passed away at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was born, to Charles and Katherine (Clink) Hyde on April 5, 1924, in Morley. Bill attended Morley Schools, graduating in 1942, where he met the love of his life Emma Ulrich. They were married on January 5, 1947 and spent 71 years together running their dairy farm prior to her passing in 2018. Bill was a man of few words, but a very good listener. He served as the Deerfield Township Supervisor for many years, was a member of the United States Bowling Congress and a distributor of Pioneer seed corn. He enjoyed playing cards, reading westerns, deer hunting and bowling.
Bill will be missed and is survived by his children, Cinda Jefts of Stanwood, Mary (Jim) Lodden of League City, TX, John (Shirley) Hyde of Reed City; grandchildren, Susan (Aaron) Felske, Jill (Ted) Patin, Brian (Sandra) Jefts, Julie (Keith) Bowman, Stacy Lodden, Sarah (Brian) Fink, David Hyde, Mark Hyde; great-grandchildren, Chloe Felske, Kyla and Meric Patin, Rebekah, Abigail and John Bowman, Naomi, Aubrey, Leah and Isaiah Fink, John Jefts.
He was received in heaven by his wife, Emma; parents, Charles and Katherine; son-in-law, John Jefts; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Cora Mae Hyde.
Funeral Services for Bill will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Frank Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Amble Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, December 12 at the funeral chapel.
