Zane F. Todd's Obituary
Zane F. Todd, age 85, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014. A private burial will take place at Broomfield Township Cemetery, with a celebration of his life to follow December 13th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wheatland Township Hall.
Zane was born in Remus on March 8, 1929, the son of William and Emma (Norman) Todd. He married the love of his life, Decola, on November 21, 1953.
Zane enjoyed bowling, and even played on a team up until 2006. Other interests of his would include watching wrestling on T.V. ( The undertaker was always his favorite), playing Rook, having heated debates, and drinking beer or whiskey, which was either Busch or Old Grand-Dad. He loved his coin collection, ham and potatoes, and was a master at playing checkers.
Zane was known to be feisty, rambunctious, giving, hard working, and welcoming; in other words, he was one heck of a guy!
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Zane Jr. (Crystal), Judy Cook, and Cleo Todd-Meeks; grandchildren, Steven (Amy), Ryan, Keisha, Tasha (Polk), George, and Zane III (Michelle); and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Breahanna, Aniyiah, Kia, Steven, Apple, Damien, Jaevyn, Alex, and Aisia.
Zane was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Decola; brothers, Durward, Virgil, Marshall, and Scott, and sister, Norma.
