Alex was one of a kind. Had his strong opions on subjects and fought hard for his beliefs. Always tried to make people happy when he was on the union committee. Enjoyed his hunting and fishing and I remember the canning. I Spent a lot of time with his son Eric. May he rest in peace and God bless.
I have spent little time in the Remus area since getting my college degree and moving away, but I have always considered Alex one of Mi two best friends. The Fate home was very familiar to me and my life was fuller because of their grace and caring actions. Alex let me tag along to school programs, Saturday night dances, parties, etc. They would transport me and my “show” cattle to the 4H fair. And I spent most numerous Saturday nights playing cards or pool in the Fate home. My prayers are that all of those who love and were loved by Alex find peace in knowing He is being well cared for by the one who knows him best and loves him the most. Good bye my friend. Mel Crowley
Rest In Peace Alex, you are already missed.
You were one of the "Good Ones". Glad to say I had the pleasure of working with you 16 years. Enjoyed serving on the Union Committee with you. We drank a few beers together and shared many of laughs.
You introduced me to my best friend, your son Eric, and for that, I am greatly appreciative.
I give my deepest condolences to Eric and his family, I love you guys.
