Alex William Fate's Obituary
Alex William Fate, lifelong resident of the Remus area, passed away on March 16, 2022. Son of Horace J. and Barbara Ruth Fate, Alex, spent his life cultivating a gift of making everyone feel important with his expansive heart, particularly with his large family.
True to the Fate name, Alex was a strong-willed man who was most at home in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He had a great sense of humor that will be missed.
He had a knack for keeping himself busy with a wide range of activities from chopping wood to serving on Union committees. Wheatland, a highlight in the year, was a capstone in the family summertime gatherings.
Left to carry on traditions and memory are his children, Darcie (Dan) Raglin, Chris (Quinn) Fate, Eric (Jen) Fate, Jessica Fate and step-daughters, Wendy Hacker and Vicki Ruelle.
Alex will be missed by his brothers Joe (Linda) Fate, Mike (Sandy) Fate, and sisters, Theresa (Bill) Doughty, Dianna (John) Doughty.
His enduring spirit lives on in his grandchildren
Curtis Raglin, Makennha Squires, Brandon Squires, Caleb Fate, Jenna Fate, Emma Fate, Paislee Fate, and Hailey White; step grandchildren, Brayden and Killian; and great-grandchildren, Ryker and Luna.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Fate.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 19th, at 11:00am, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, with Father Tom Boufford as Celebrant. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Church, and from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Friday, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus.
